Folly

This dress was an item in last week's Dressing Room. It seemed to match Luna's colour challenge of the week, Folly, and I hesitated, being sure everybody would feature it. But it was not among the first 30 entries, so here it is.
It was an excuse for buying the mesh boots from Maitreya, just, just, just..... I don't know what to say, words fail me.

Also from the dressing room , the nice earring with nose-thingey. I had a problem with the ball at the end of the chain - it stuck out of my nose. Had to fiddle with it a lot , but finally got most of it inside.

I love Nevery Lorakeet's work for Les Petits Details skin. I think this one was a group gift.

During this week, I read, as I usually do, Harlow Heslop's blog. She told her readers about a place run by friends of her. There are poetry readings, sometimes live music  - and you can generally just hang out. I had to go and pay a visit. You can see why:

It seems like a cozy lounge-like place.   I'm afraid , my photoshopping skills let the place somewhat down.

Quest for Quality - in the alphabet challenge

One of the more difficult letters in the alphabet.  For instance, there is only one, one! colour starting with Q in the list of colours in Wikipedia. And not a very interesting colour at that - quartz - but ok as a background here.
My inventory did not help me. But a search with the word Quality brought me to a shop I would never have found if it were not for this challenge.  Quality Designs show Medieval styles, with costumes I imagine might be popular among role players.  A new skin from Quarantine and Quirky hair from Elkatira - and the Q was complete.

It's evening. I'm reading about all the things going on in the world in my reading corner (made by Pandora Popstar for LISP), while listening to old songs of protest  on Spotify. All this to show myself in P.

After some time of patiently reading like a prudent girl, I have to jump up, and provoked by tales of  profitmaking patriarchs,  I make the peace sign, still mostly to pose in P.

O is overly orderly

I have arrived at the O in the alphabet challenge. The result of digging for O in my inventory was finding myself  dressed like a librarian , a school teacher or some such very sensible person.
I sat in my Oversized knit chair reflecting on the next step in this blogpost.

A woman like this might give a lecture , I decided. I couldn't find an audience, but no matter. I did what I thought a lady dressed like this might do. I got  up on a platform, and held forth on all this lady's favourite topics: using SL as a platform for teaching and teaching as a force for good in the world to day.

After the lecture, I was overjoyed and proud of my own success. So I stood talking about my theories on this and that, trying to persuade about the truth of my ideas - with the help of 'she said poses' from Olive Juice ( who by the way is closing her shop, that's what I heard ). "La di da di da", I said; there still wasn't any audience,  and that was the end of my day  of glorious public speaking in nice prim clothes, with a little bit of mesh to lighten things up.

The alphabet challenge has for me come to the M. As Maitreya is one of my go-to-stores for clothing and certainly for shoes, Maitreya will play the major role in this post.

J is next in the alphabet challenge. I have not been able to enjoy myself at the Vintage Fair - the lag is such that it feels like walking in treacle, so I'll wait some days before returning there to get serious. But I can dress somewhat vintagey anyway, as I got this nice outfit from incredible Ivalde some time ago. I am satisfied with the mixture of wild flowing hair (from Calico Ingmann)  and lady-like, prissy little hat and veil.

And then this little bird deserves a  close up. I have had it for some time, there is nothing new in any of this. Unfortunately, I can't find the store, Statique, where I once found it , but the necklace is created by Lisanna Lauria. I love, love all my skins from Gala Phoenix.
